We are currently performing LEED construction hauling and recycling on a large job in Washington, DC for rand* construction corporation. This project requires an immense amount of coordination with rand* and our sister company Capitol Drywall who is working on the framing, drywall, and ceiling side of the job.
Because this renovation is a LEED v4 project, we have four streams of recycling to haul out at any given time. Capitol Drywall constructed a recycling center to fit in the loading dock which can handle three streams of recycling, and can be rotated according to the phase of the project.
We will also bring in a dumpster as needed so that large amounts of drywall can be loaded and hauled away to be recycled in Pennsylvania.
The project is a highly complex and coordinated effort to make sure the client can earn its LEED certification. We enjoy participating in a job that is on the leading edge of what the future holds for LEED and our industry progress.
